It takes a serious mistake to make a village

First they want to annex themselves into another town. Now the Pilot Knob folks want to form a village?

Wouldn't it be easier just to move?

I mean, they might like their lives on the lake and stuff. But they're sure going to a whole lot of trouble for the slight chance they might save a few bucks on their taxes. Do they think their taxes are just going to dry up when they're annexed or a part of a village? Suddenly, they're going to become an island unto themselves and no one will bother to tax them anymore? It's silly.

It's an election year. And it takes a village to raise a fuss.

Go to the next town board meeting and raise hell with the people who are running for re-election.
